We manufacture our Devenish Elite Garden Gate from quality imported softwood. We use traditional mortice and tenon joints, then glued for extra strength and durability. This garden gate comes fully pressure-treated with TANALITH E. TANALITH E pressure-treated timber protects against fungal and insect attacks, including termites. It suits both in-ground and above-ground applications. It is effective for interior and exterior uses when treated to the correct specifications. Initially, TANALITH E pressure-treated timber has a natural green colour. Exposure to elements slowly changes the colour to a warm honey brown. Over time, it becomes a natural silver grey. Our range includes hinges, latches bolts and locks. Log Selection Carefully selecting natural resources is essential for creating successful products. We also hand-select all raw materials to suit the intended components. Each component must then come from the appropriate section of the log and be made from the highest quality raw material. Workers then saw the logs into rectangular shapes in the ‘green mill’. Here, the fully saturated logs receive a rough surface as the saws tear out some fibers rather than cutting them. Next, if the timber needs seasoning or drying, we remove much of the internal moisture. We then machine seasoned products to achieve smooth or shaped surfaces.
