We import our Pressure Treated Ranch Field Gates from Woodford Timber in Ireland. Woodford is a long-established, family-run business known for creating quality products at competitive prices. Our gates are crafted from high-quality softwood and also feature stainless steel fixings and traditional mortice and tenon joints. These are then which are glued for extra strength and durability. Please choose whether you need a left- or right-handed gate, or a matching set if purchasing two. Gates are handed based on the view from the good side. All gate sizes are metric, with imperial sizes provided as a guide. We pressure-treat our gates to enhance their style and also protect the timber from insect infestation, fungal decay and rot. However, exposure to weather conditions can cause the timber to fade over time. If the timber fades, we recommend further staining to maintain the product’s appearance. Please Note: Tanalised pressure treated timber has a built-in colouration and depending on the timber species the treatment colour may vary slightly. Log Selection Carefully selecting natural resources is crucial for creating successful products. We handpick all raw materials to match the specific components we intend to produce. Each component must come from the appropriate section of the log and use the highest quality raw material. In the ‘Green mill,’ we saw the logs into rectangular shapes. Here, the fully saturated logs have rough surfaces because the saws tear out some fibers instead of cutting them cleanly. Next, we season or dry the timber to remove most of the moisture.
