The mix then includes 10mm gravel aggregate, concreting sand, and high-performance cement. These ingredients result in a strength of 45-50 N/mm2. We also reinforce all our Wetcast Posts with four 5.5mm carbon steel re-bars. We also join the reinforcing bars using plastic spacers to ensure 25mm of concrete cover. Durability of Wetcast Posts Concrete is not degradable and is resistant to insect attacks, making it highly durable for about 20 years. Concrete’s strength is a major advantage for fencing, withstanding high winds and seawater spray in coastal areas. The best way to fix our Wetcast Posts Dig a hole to the correct depth and width relevant to post size. Fill hole approximately a third of depth with water and then place post in the hole. Pour in Carlton FP-ECOFIX evenly around the post until no standing water is visible. Position and then level your Concrete end post as required. Setting will take place in 5 to 10 minutes. Do not mix Carlton FP-ECOFIX with water by hand or machine.
